Private James Wilson served with Cumberland County Militia, Virginia Militia during the American Revolution.
James Wilson is a DAR Patriot Ancestor, A127548.
James Wilson was a Revolutionary War Veteran. At the age of 16, he took part in the siege of Yorktown Virginia in 1781. The battle of Yorktown effectively ended the American Revolutionary War. James died in 1847 in Kanawha County, West Virginia.
