Moritz Zug was born about 1720 in Darmstadt, Hessen, Heiliges Römisches Reich, son of Hans Zug (<1690 - <1720) and Christina (Halisbacher) Zug (~1686 - ).

His siblings were:

  2. Christian Friedrich Zug (1710 - 1787)

Moritz married Mary Unknown (~1723 - ) in 1747 in Berks Co., PA. Their children were:

  1. Johannes Zug (1748 - 1804)
  2. Christian Zook (1750 - 1805)
  3. Henry Zook (1752 - 1826)
  4. Jacob Zook (1757 - 1829)
  5. Unknown Zook (1759 - )
  6. Abraham Zook (~1761 - ~1826)
  7. Veronica Zook (1763 - 1826).

Moritz's daughter was Mary (Zug) Lapp (1745 - 1770).

Moritz died about 1808 in Exton, West Whiteland Township, Chester, Pennsylvania, United States aged ~88.

On ship list 9/21/1742.
A deed in Bern Twp. PA 9/25/1770 lists Moritz and his wife "Maria" of West Whiteland Twp. selling their Bern Twp. property to "John Zug the Younger".
