According to her "father's" profile, his daughter Sarah died in 1628. It appears you most likely have her attached to the wrong parents. Are there sources that tie her with her parents, to her with her spouse?

I think it is best that I put doubt on the 'fathers" profile for 1628.

If we could track down the deed in which her father gave Sarah Stevens 30 acres of land in Rehoboth, that could be the proof that they were related (reference on that page, but I haven't investigated it). From page 16, it appears that the deed was on May 10, 1662.

Another puzzling thing, if her "father" wrote his will in 1672, Sarah would have already passed away, however, none of her children were mentioned in Thomas will, although he did name other grandchildren (or at least some of them).

Curiosity got the better of me. I tracked down the information. It was shown in Some ancestral lines : being a record of some of the ancestors of Guilford Solon Tingley and his wife, Martha Pamelia Meyers, Author Raymon Meyers Tingley, published 1935. In this book on page 49 (Bisbee family), it says Sarah was born 1641-2, just as the profile currently shows, with the parents shown. However, on page 352 (Stevens), it shows that Sarah was born in 1618 in Sandwich, England, rather than Frittenden. (Maybe this revised birthplace and date is a good clue.)

This book is RIFE with errors. I have encountered many, many errors. For example, also in the same family, the author says that Elisha Besbeech, who died in Scituate, Massachusetts in 1695, is also a son of Thomas, yet no credible sources were found to support it. Here is a link to the book: Pages 63, 352.

As for other sources, Torrey doesn't even name Francis Stevens' wife, and cites the Tingley book as well as Reg. 7:179; MD 17:117. Perhaps you can find further information on either the Register or Mayflower Descendants.

Since this profile came into WikiTree originally intending to be the wife of Francis Stevens (vs. the daughter of Thomas), you can create a Disputed Origins section, and include information on her unproven parents, then disconnect them, if you'd like.

HI Bruce,

Revisiting this. Are you ready to disconnect the unproven parents as S. described here? Thanks for following up, Bobbie

I'm not sure what to do: what are PP and LNAB?
posted by Bruce Macbryde
Sarah needs PP to protect LNAB pending merge.

There's an unmerged match attach. Research needed to determine proper LNAB Bisbee or Besbeech.
