Hi again Faye,

Thanks for having a big heart and adopting the Orphaned Profiles. This After Adopting Orphans FAQ explains the special attention those profiles need.

Let me know if you have any questions on how to find and record sources, merge duplicates, clean up gedcom biographies, and interpret the Suggestions report. I'm here to help!

Hi Faye,

This is a courtesy e-mail to see how things are going. Are you enjoying WikiTree so far?

Have the tips in the New Member How-Tos been helpful? Most of us still have some questions after reviewing them, so don't hesitate to let me know.

I'm here to help with issues and questions about how WikiTree works. You can reply to this comment or send me a private message.

PS Tags are clickable links to a page of other people who have that tag and links to resources. To get the best results, add separate tags for each surname and spelling variation of interest. You can have up to 20 total.

PS If links do not work in an email from WikiTree, try them from the comment section on your profile page.

Thank you so much Debi for your offer to help. I certainly need a lot of it. I am trying to muddle my way thru all this and will be calling on you. I have got to get organized and see what I need help the most on. I've been haphazardly going over my Ged Compare and trying to get some profiles on here. I'm glad to know you and appreciate your contacting me.

You're most welcome, Faye. This tutorial for the GEDCOMpare process might help. I've used it when uploading GEDCOMs several time. I'll be ready when you figure out where I can help.

You are very welcome, Martha Faye, it is good to have you with us, just take it at your own pace, add what you can when you can. I also found it a bit daunting when I first joined, and soon everything seemed to click into place, hopefully the same will happen with you. We are all here to help you whenever you need it.

Take care Karen

Welcome Martha Faye

I am pleased to confirm you as a full member, and welcome you to the WikiTree family, your contributions will go a long way to joining the world together.

I would suggest starting with the New Member How-To pages, they will save you a lot of time and frustration.

I am here to answer any question you have, no matter how trivial you may think it is. There is no such thing as a silly question. Please add as much information as you can, it all helps to turn a “name” back into a person. I hope you enjoy the site

Happy tree climbing

Karen ~ WikiTree Greeter

P.S. If links do not work in an email from WikiTree, try them from the comment section on your profile page.

Hey, Aunt Faye. I’ve already got profiles up on here for Mama & Papa Daniel. To add them as your parents & connect to all their ancestors that are already on here, click on the green “add father” link on your profile. On the next page on letter A at the top where you add a WikiTree ID, put Daniel-5361 in that box. Then click “add mother” for Mama Daniel, & enter Stovall-1589. Then you’ll be connected to all our ancestors who already have a profile on here & not create any duplicate profiles.  :-)
