I grew up in Indiana and after high school I met my wife at Purdue University. I moved up to the Chicago-land area and received my undergraduate degree in Accounting and Finance at DePaul University. I started work at Arthur Andersen in public accounting and received my graduate degree from Northwestern University at the Kellogg Graduate School of Business (MBA).
I was lucky enough to start out life in a very loving family and also lucky enough to create an extension with my own for the last thirty plus years.
DNA Testing on 23&Me.
Testing has been done on my Father, Wife, Daughter and Wife's Brother. The haplogroup for paternal (P) and maternal (M) for each are as follows.
Dad has (P) R-L51 and (M) V, mine which is the only one I can put on WikiTree is (P) R-L51 and (M) H. My daughter has (M) T2b. Her mother also has (M) T2b along with my wife's brother. His father gave him a (P) R-L23.

im trying to sort thru all of the PA and KY McLoney's. If I put in John McLoney and Jane Espy I get several Thru Line connections, but yet no indication of how they are related to my 3rd Great Grandfather, Alexander McLoney who was born in 1807 in Kentucky, he married Jemima Arnett then Sarah Alfrey. Alexander lived near Mount Comfort, Indiana and is buried there. This would be in Hancock County, indiana. I'd like to see if you could possibly help me figure out who his actual parents were. Right now Ive got John McLoney and Elizabeth Hiten in Kentucky, but Thru Lines doesn't seem to agree with me on that... Ive not gotten any new hints or matches to validate that. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. ~Cheryl
We ended the Magna Carta Project affiliate scheme some time ago, which means a sticker on your profile should be deleted. It has an error indication on it. Thank you for having expressed interest in the Project. Michael Cayley, co-Leader, Magna Carta Project
looking to see if you received the trusted list access for Robert McReynolds Boyd (1840-1928), he's my 2nd great grandfather and I have some personal records I would like to upload for him.
I think we should proceed with the merge of the two Thomas Balls. They both have daughters Katherine (who also need merging). And I've seen documents on both Katherine's profile (the one you manage, I think) and on the other daughter Margaret's that does support Katherine and Margaret being sisters and both daughters of the same Thomas. I can't check right now, but I think it's supported by Thomas' will?
Because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, working within the projects which coordinate them is important. Ensure location data matches date in profile & avoid abbreviations. Citations & links for sources enables verification. From wiki ID go to Research to find source

Hi Charles! The Magna Carta Google Group is for members and affiliates. I've approved your request to join, but could you add the affiliate template to your profile?

Thanks for joining us! I hope you're enjoying our site. I just wanted to check in and see how things are going. Do you have any questions I can answer?

Click my name above to send me a personal message or post a comment on my profile if you have questions.
P.S. If you added the tag because WikiTree's Relationship Finder showed a trail between you and a surety baron (or a lot of them, which is common), please see this G2G post on how to assess the quality of the trail.
Let us know if you'd like to join the project by posting an answer to our "G2G Join post".
Members and affiliates can join the Google Group - from that page, send a request to join with your WikiTree ID (so we know who it is).
P.P.S. If you ever get a "Page Not Found" error when you click a link in a WikiTree e-mail, you can usually find a functioning link in the public comments section of your profile page.
* "Richardson" in the previous comment refers to Douglas Richardson, who documents the ancestry of about 240 Gateway Ancestors in his Magna Carta Ancestry. The project was established to review WikiTree profiles against Richardson's works and "badge" those in a project-approved trail (see the project's Glossary for project-specific terms such as a "badged trail").
I didn't have room to include links to the following pages in the previous comment:
I saw your Magna Carta tag. You might be interested in the Magna Carta Project, which watches over the surety barons' profiles and many of their descendants, down to Richardson-documented* Gateway Ancestors. Profiles in project-reviewed/approved trails are managed by the project, through the project's Google Group.
WikiTree members who have their pre-1700 badge and want to help the project develop these trails can join the project. If you would just like to help watch over profiles managed or monitored by the Magna Carta Project, you can sign on as a project affiliate by adding Template:Magna Carta Project Affiliate to your profile and sending us a request to join the Google Group.
Cheers,
Liz
