1. How do we get rid of profiles listed as parents or spouses that we know are clearly wrong but the person who made them clearly did not? Who do we contact to make aware of this?
2. We have Ancestry.com DNA and GEDmatch #s for 7 of our family members, and I have YDNA from FamilyTreeDNA as well. How do I go about connecting the DNA to the WikiTree?
Yes, you would need to add your parents, grandparents, and so on until you connect your twig to the main tree. Once that's done, it will show the path from you to Francis Cooke.
Azure is off for the day and asked me to reply. When you find an ancestor's profile already in the tree, look in the upper-right dropdown menus and make a note of the ancestor's Wiki ID. For instance, on your profile it says Howard-17262.
Go to the profile you created which can connect and click the appropriate "add parent" link. When the add page opens, type the ancestor's Wiki ID in the first box and click Go. That will establish the parent/child relationship.
Hi Azure! I have another question. I just added my FTDNA ID to the YDNA and mtDNA tests on my personal page. Is there anything else I need to do in order to make it work and match other folks on here with DNA in their profiles? I don’t see it generating any lists of matches?
Also, how do I add GEDmatch #s and/or AncestryDNA kits to other family member’s pages (like my bro or Sis)? They all have AncestryDNA and GEDmatch ID/kits?

Thank you for adding your DNA to WikiTree. Getting the Best from DNA will tell you more about how DNA kits are used on WikiTree.
I hope you love WikiTree as much as I do. You never know when you will find a lost ancestor or family member. Maybe you will find a family secret about an ancestor like I did.

How do I get the search engine for ancestor lines to my Mayflower ancestors to work? I keep getting a pop up message saying “unable to collect ancestors. ID May be incorrect or profile may be unlisted or private.” But I don’t think either are the case?
If you click on the profiles you believe to be your ancestors, next click on their profile id in the upper right-hand of their profile, then click Relationship to Me. This will show you the biological relationship path from you to them.

So when I add ancestors to my personal twig, how do I attach it to the proverbially Internet tree once I bump into it?
Thanks!
PS: we DNA match a lot of Robinsons in Ancestry, but haven’t fleshed them out in our tree much yet. :)
