Hello Heather. Thanks so much for the time that you spent on the Bershach profiles. You have certainly improved everything that you worked on & I sincerely appreciate all the work that was involved. Many of these profiles were done by me some time ago so your expertise has helped to update them.

It's a pity that Rosa's story has not been finalized. I agree with you that the recent Santa discovery of the apparent migration of Rosa Hermann to America is wrong. She never was a Hermann &, to my knowledge remained a Bershach. I will email something later.

Thanks - Did you notice my update of Maurice Bershach / Burch I put it in research notes because I wasnt sure were the death date that was already on the profile came from (Its a good mattch though)

Thanks for the prompt response. I will reply tomorrow as I am tied up now. Maurice is great! I am happy for you to edit the profile, but if you are busy with other things I can do it.

Congrats on all your WW awards. It must be very encouraging to have your work appreciated by fellow members.

Cheers

Brian

Thank you for participating in past Thons as a member of the Toddlin' Tortoises. If you decide to participate again in January's upcoming Connect a Thon, the registration this time will be somewhat different. (You can read about it here.) We would love to have you join us again, but whatever team you decide to join will be lucky to have you!

Thanks for all your work in Lancashire. Have you thought about joining the England project?

Also, have you tried Sourcer? https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:WikiTree_Sourcer If you are OK with using extensions I think you might like it -- you can build a nice census list and also have a full citation (so it is more obviously a fully sourced profile in Biocheck)

Thanks W - I think I thought about it when I first joined but happy with just doing the thons and Challenges I use the wikitree sourcer - but its new about 9 months so you might be looking at old profiles, and if they are close family or on my direct line (or siblings) I like to see as much details as I can before I advance. I concentrate My English Profiles in Lancashire, Westmorland, Cumberland and Yorkshire but often the profiles lead me elsewhere.

Thanks so much for being part of the Toddlin' Tortoises Team for the April 2023 Source-a-Thon. Every source or citation verifying the information on a profile, helps make for a healthier Tree!
Hertyl and Spertyl Slowsky Tortoises face each other, with a large gold winner's tro-phy between them. Beneath the adult Tortoises are the baby Slowsky twins, Liddyll, and Iddyll, holding the words "Wonderful WikiTreer" between them, and behind the phrase, su-perimposed upon the trophy, is the WikiTree DNA globe icon. Beneath the entire tableau is the phrase "We're all winners in the end".

Thanks for your input on John Pye of Lansreath. My family legends said he was married to a Courtenay but that info was incorrect. I was happy to find a record that was more likely to be true. I'm still searching for additional verification. I believe this John would be the grandfather of the John who appears in the Visitation of Cornwall.

Heather,

Thank you for contributing to the March 2022 Sourcerers Challenge! As you know, every source added to an unsourced profile improves our One Tree. Thank you for taking time from your own family history to help others.

Thankyou Heather for Allsopp.

Hi Heather, thanks for your comment about Henry Whittaker Hargreaves. I think you are correct and the two Johns are separate people, so I have created a new profile and detached Henry from your John.

Kind Regards,

Maddy

Hi there. Thanks for your help with William Croft. The profile for Colonel Sir William Croft MP is William Croft MP. Would you care to add a bit from that source you have about his death? Would round it off nicely.
