Dorothy Ardelle "Dot" Mitchell was born at Baileyville, Maine, 6 Sep 1930, the daughter of John Melvin "Mel" Mitchell and Addie Mae Dean. She graduated from St. Croix High School in Baileyville in 1947, and from Holy Rosary Business School in Saint Stephen, NB, in 1948.
She married Robert Elwood James of Princeton, 21 Aug 1948, at St. James the Greater Catholic Church in Baileyville.
