Stacey Pearson is a doctoral candidate at Northeastern University’s Doctor of Law and Policy program, researching AMBER Alerts and child abduction homicides. She is a retired law enforcement professional with extensive experience in complex missing and exploited children investigations. In July 2018, after a 20 year career, she retired from the Louisiana State Police where she most recently served as the Manager of the Louisiana Clearinghouse for Missing and Exploited Children, the Coordinator of the Louisiana AMBER Alert Program, and as a field office supervisor in the Special Victims Unit.
According to her family trees and her Ancestry and 23andMe DNA analyses, Stacey is of English (c 35%), German (c 35%), and Scottish/Irish (c 30%) descent. She is the direct descendant of three Mayflower passengers: William Brewster (13th GGF), Stephen Hopkins (13th GGF), and Giles Hopkins (12th GGF). She is also a direct descendant of one of Nantucket’s Founders, Christopher Hussey (10th GGF), and is a 3rd cousin to Founding Father Samuel Adams and his fellow Sons of Liberty activist James Otis, Jr.
Stacey enjoys reading, photography, Jazz, and collecting first edition crime fiction and non-fiction books. She lends her public safety expertise to individuals and organizations through her company, Espoir Consulting [1]. Espoir is the French word for “hope," and it is Espoir Consulting’s mission to provide hope for families and loved ones by empowering child safety advocates through education. She is a guest lecturer and panelist, and she also provides technical advice to authors, novelists, and television and film producers.
Stacey lives in Boston, Massachusetts, walking distance from where, in 1637, her 9th great-grandfather, Philemon Dickerson, landed as an indentured servant aboard the “Mary Ann,” and where, in 1655, her 12th great-grandfather, Rev. John Mayo, Jr., was installed as the first pastor of the Old North Church (Second Church).
She is especially interested in the Albion (Long Island NY), Pearson (Indiana), and Worrick (IN, IL, MD) surnames.

I ran across your answer while signing up for the 1776 project. I believe we both have Adams ancestry (we've traced back to Jeremiah Adams) and it sounds like we share similar interests in research. I also like your biographical writing style. I just wanted to say hello. *I'm still learning so I don't know if there's a way to "follow" someone's efforts here. For now I will just be a non creepy stalker of your managed profiles. Heather

Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!
Because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, coordinating with others is essential. You can learn more about joining the community in How To #3 and in the Project FAQ.
Based on your tags, the Mayflower Project may fit your research focus. If not, use the Pre-1700 Projects list to review other possibilities. Read the goals and tasks of the projects and join those which are a good fit.

Im gradually learning more about my Pearson ancestors, but it is tough! All indications are they originally settled in Virginia.
Happy Holidays, Stacey
Part of my Pearson family moved to Indiana in the 1850s from New Jersey. Do you know how your family got to Indiana? thanks, Frank Pearson
