Biography

I was born 21 years ago to Manuel John Pittman and Gwendolyn Marie Galland-Pittman. I am their third and last child together. I have half siblings, although I am not prepared to meet my father’s children at this point in my life through my own contact. If they decide they want contact I’ll gracefully and lovingly accept it. Family is one of the most important thing in my life. While I didn’t know my father and have no real memories of him, he is part of what makes me who I am.

Learning about my past and my families past is as important as planning for my future.

hi Dakota,

Before editing profiles that are pre-1700, you need to get familiar with the projects involved. One of them, in which you edited some profiles recently, is Québécois project. See https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Project:Quebecois Québécois project page for guidelines on names and location names, which also apply later. Our French cousins have similar guidelines.

Hi Anonymous,

Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles!

It’s very important to read and understand the Help:Pre-1700 Profiles page. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines laid out on that page.

Primary sources should always be added to pre-1700 profiles at the time they are created. If you don't have a source for a pre-1700 profile, it would be best to ask for help in the G2G forum before creating the profile.
