Born JAN 1681 or 1682. Ireland

Katherine Rutherford born about 1682, daughter of Rev. John Rutherford and Isabella Alleine. Her father, John lived to the age of 84 and was a Presbyterian minister. His brothers were Captains in the Army of Protestant King Wm. III of Orange in the Battle of Boyne (1690) against the Catholic King James II.

Her mother, Isabella Alleine was the daughter of Joseph Alleine a Puritan Nonconformist pastor and author. Joseph was born at Devizes, Suffolk, England early in 1634, the fourth of a large family. His father, the "worthy Mr Tobie Alleine of Devizes", was a descendant of Alan, Lord of Buckenhall. Alan's descendants had settled in the neighborhood of Calne and Devizes as early as 1430. Almost coincident with his ordination as associate pastor came his marriage with Theodosia Alleine, daughter of Richard Alleine.

Katherine Jane Rutherford (daughter of Reverend John Rutherford and Isabella Alleine) was born 1682 in Wigton, Scotland, and died 1738 in Nottingham, Chester Co., PA. She married John Walker II on January 07, 1701 in Wigton, Scotland. [3]

  2. John Walker III, born Mar 1705 in County Down, Ireland; died Nov 1778 in Washington Co, VA; married Ann Houston Mar 1734.
  3. Thomas Walker, born Abt. 1707 died at a young age.
  4. James Walker born 17 Mar 1707 in Ireland; died Abt. 1778 in VA.
  5. William Walker, born Abt. 1709; died in at a young age.vi. Jane Walker, born May 1712.
  6. Samuel Walker, born 25 Dec 1714; died Feb 1793; married Jane Patterson 05 Dec 1740 in VA.
  7. Alexander Walker, born 19 May 1716 in Ireland; died Abt. 1784 in Rockbridge Co., VA; married Jane Hammer 08 Jan 1747; died 1798 in Woodford Co., KY.
  8. Esther Walker, born Abt. 1717; died in At a young age.
  9. Mary Walker, born Abt. 1720.
  10. Joseph Walker, born 15 Jul 1722 in Londonderry, Ireland; died 1806; married (1) Grizelda Mc Croskey; married (2) Nancy Mc Clung 10 Mar 1749.

Katherine Rutherford, her husband John Walker and their children sailed for America landing August 2, 1726, and setted in Chester Co., Pennsylvania.

She and her husband [John Walker] are listed in the cemetery records, but their headstones no longer exist.

Son born in 1728, she must be Open per WikiTree rules.

Also, please detach Katherine from John Walker of Derry and his son Col. John Walker. This was not her family. After being detached from this family, she needs to be merged into Katherine Jane Rutherford, wife of John Walker of Wigton.

Rutherford-1559 and Rutherford-10 are not ready to be merged because: Seems to be quite a bit of items that need attention before actually merge these two. I see the same husband, but many double on the children, birth countries are different. Just need to be sure before hand.
