The Reverend Samuel Smith and his second wife, [[Whitacre-319 | Naomi ( Whitacre) Smith, (some sources have them married 11 DEC 1755 in Goodcreek, Loudoun County, Virginia) moved from Kingswood MM in New Jersey to Fairfax MM in Virginia with their children in 1762.

He was a constant Preacher in the meetings but was disowned on October 31st 1767 in Fairfax MM, Loudoun County, Virginia. He kept on attending meetings and attempting to preach and finally he prevailed. However, he died before given the opportunity to make satisfaction in the meeting. ,[2]
Samuel Smith, John Smith and William Smith signed aQuaker Anti-Slavery Petition in 1783. The Society of Friends (Quakers) was unwavering in its opposition to slavery in the U.S. This petition to the US Congress was one of many.

The fathers, John Smith (Smith-260126 and Smith-1201) look the same, but have very different death dates. This should all be cleaned up.
