Please also note, that in order to receive help, with researching your German ancestors, membership is not mandatory. Just ask your questions in the G2G forum and tag them with Germany in order for knowledgeable people to see them.

While Godfrey Grosvenor, Grosvenor-656, is not a direct ancestor of mine (he's a cousin of my ancestor), I will look to see if I have anything to add to his profile, and if I do I would be happy to "adopt" him.
It’s Germany Project check-in time again! Please respond within the next 2 weeks and let me know if you’re still interested in participating with the Project. Remember, the only requirements for membership in the Germany Project are (1) that you work on at least one German profile every 6 months and (2) that you respond to this check-in.

Thanks for getting in touch. Yes, I am still very interested in remaining part of the Germany Project, as that is where my Amos surname line has led me (village of Imsbach, Donnersburgkreis, Rhineland-Palatinate). So, I would like to join the Rhineland-Palatine regional group. How do I do that? Thanks, Robert

The Germany/German Roots Project is currently undergoing our member check-in and wanted to verify that you are still active and interested in being a member of the project. Are you currently assigned to or working with one of our Sub-projects or Teams? We have many new teams so have a look on the Germany project page for the list of them. Is there a particular Team or area you are interested in participating with? I would be delighted to help you get setup in one or more of our collaborative teams!
We use Google groups for internal project collaboration, so if you are not yet setup for access feel free to submit a join request and we will get that approved as quick as possible. We also ask that members check their follwed tags to make sure you are following the correct project tag (GERMANY) so you don't miss any disucssions in G2G.
We really appreciate your contributions on WikiTree, and thank you for all the work you have been doing. We look forward to hearing back from you and that you will decide to be part of the project as we move forward with the new teams for the project.

The end note style that you have used is fine. If your research has taken you beyond year 1501, you will eventually want to apply for the Pre-1500 Badge where the footnote style is preferred. If you are interested in learning about the footnote style now, you can find information in the Sources FAQ on Footnotes and a more detailed description here about embedding sources in the narrative.

Thanks for all your work on WikiTree. I noticed that you are creating profiles for a pre-1700 ancestors.
The Pre-1700 Profile help page and the Pre-1700 Quiz explained the sourcing needed for pre-1700 profiles. The church records that you are using as a source sound like they probably would qualify but a little more detail is needed in the citation. Things like who, what, when, where, and where you looked at it. Would you expand your citations please.
We're looking for reliable sources to add to the various lists. Would your share your sources with the German Roots Project if you think they would be good additions?

Clicking your green tags shows members who follow that tag. Add tags other family surnames, for locations add GERMAN_ROOTS The more tags you add the more links to community & research options Information on tags is on page one of the How To pages.

Because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, working within the projects which coordinate them is essential. You can learn more about joining the community in How To #3 and in the Project FAQ.
Use the Pre-1700 Projects list to find one which best fits your research focus, whether time period, location, or special event. Read the goals and tasks of the project and join if it is a good fit.
