Hi, my name is Joan Chalk and my ancestors came from Essex and then Erith in the UK. My grandfather came to New Zealand in 1927 with his family. My mother is descended from the same Chalk ancestors (her father and my father's grandfather were brothers). I have been doing family history for a short time and so very much a beginner. I love sharing information on 'my' Chalk family.
