Sending a letter to Ukraine Question

Question

Odd question but I'm wondering if someone can help me in an address (or really proper form for a letter) I'd like to send to the Ukraine. 

My wife's ancestry is from Ukraine and there's a church I'd like to send a letter to and see if they'd have some records.  The Church (Церква Святого Миколая) is in Poroshkovo.  The only address I can get is from google (Церква Святого Миколая, Порошково, Закарпатська область, 89230), but I don't know if it is the correct thing to put onto the envelope.  Could someone tell me if that is correct, or if another format or information would be necessary.  Just trying to avoid the letter failing on delivery.

Family is from Tur'ya Bystra, multiple records note this location.

John Malyuk (b. 11 June/July 1889/90) Immigrated around 1907 married in America

Brother- Steve Malyuk (b. 1891/92/93) Immigrated around 1912 married in America

Yes that's him.  I have that, plus his WWI card when he was in Passaic, NJ  He was also married in NJ.  Steve was living with him but was working over in Washington, PA.  Steve's WWI card notes 2 younger sisters (though we haven't found their names yet).

Yep, big gap.  We know they were brothers because of family staying close (example- one of John's grandsons went and lived with a son of Michael while he was in college).  Again, I do think that Michael in New York is related (and there was another Michael Malyuk in Washington, PA as well.. but I have no proof of any of that.

Couldn't find one.  I even tried to email a person who did an article on the church in hopes they could pass on some information to get me in touch with them.. but that didn't work.  It seems pretty old school orthodox so I don't know if they have one.  Otherwise I'd definitely prefer that!

You might want to put English and Ukrainian in columns, so that both post offices can read the address. In Ukraine, addresses on envelopes start with the country name at the top, then the postal code on the next line, and so on, with the person's (or, in this case, church's) name on the bottom line.

The streetname and housenumber are missing in your information. However the local mailman would probably find the church Церква Святого Миколая in a small town with 3000 inhabitants.

Hi, it's pointless to write to the church. Any records they had are in the region's state archive, which keeps everything older than 75 years.

What is says is that documents originating before 1946 are stored in Beregove town. Web page lists also main office in Uzhgorod city: https://dazo.gov.ua/kontakty

I had no business with them, however - my ancestors are from different parts of the country.
