Moons in Kentucky and Texas

I have an ancestor Sarah Tom Moon, born in Kentucky (probably Edmonson) in 1873. She ended up in Fort Worth, Tarrant, Texas.

Her mother is this Mary Ann Wells. On the 1880 census, she's listed as widowed, living with her father, and with her two children Sarah and John E.

There are several issues going on that I'm trying to find documentation for.

(1) Her father. His name is given as Melton Moon on her death certificate, and as Milton H. Moon on her mother's marriage record. I've seen her linked to a Milton C. Moon (so I linked her to him here). I can't read the handwriting in these old documents that well, so I can't vouch for the initials; nevertheless the initial interpreted as 'C' looks different than the one interpreted as 'H'. Is this the right guy? Can anything else be found about him, such as, how/when did he die?

(2) Her siblings(?). There is another line of Moons in Fort Worth, who I am related to (through DNA, plus I heard some of these folks mentioned by my grandfather). I can't find the paper trail for how they're related to Sarah.

George Warren Moon is the oldest of that line whom I have any knowledge of; I added him to Wikitree just now so I could talk about his sources.

In the 1910 census, there is a George W. Moon, age 16,  living in Fort Worth, listed as the son of Henry M. Moon, 38 years old, born in Kentucky, divorced. Also living with them is a Mary Rogers, age 56, born in Kentucky, divorced. (I think this may be Mary Ann Wells.)

The 1920 census is kind of confusing. There is a Mary Rodger living next to Sarah Moon (now Hayes), 66 years old, born in Kentucky, widowed. (See previous entry.)

A George Moon, 23, is listed as her son, and a Gladis Moon as her daughter. (Gladys Harbin is the name of George Warren Moon's wife.)

Further down on the same page, at a different address, there is a George Moon, age 25, living with the Harbins, with his wife Gladys. Same guy, right?

I can't find a birth record that I'm sure is for him; some people seem to think it's a G W Moon who died in 1950. But that person's father is said to be a George N. Moon, and his mother unknown.

Sorry this is so long, but to sum up, my questions are: Who is Sarah Tom Moon's father? Did he really die before 1880? Is Mary Rodgers the same person as Mary Ann Wells/Moon? Is George Warren Moon her son? If so, who is his father?

I don't know about Moons, but certainly, the Stars at night, are big and bright, deep in the heart of Texas.

Sorry. Couldn't help myself. I'm in Australia, so am more familiar with sources here. But our pastor is from Texas. So we sit and listen to the accent every week.
Well, there's the blue Moon of Kentucky.

Thanks Chris. I wish could find some confirmation that the Milton C. Moon from that family is the same as the Milton H. Moon from Mary Wells' marriage record. The different middle initial is bothering me, plus his birthdate there was in 1951. He seems to be at the right place at the right time though.
