Advice before editing this pre-1700 Doughty profile?

I have information to contribute to the profile of Francis Doughty. This is what I can add:

  • Names and create profiles for his additional children which are currently listed in the sources on his profile

These are the sources I am using:

  • Will of Francis Doughty recorded in 1741/2 New York
  • Hoff, Henry B. Genealogies of Long Island Families. From The New York Genealogical and Biographical Record. Volume I. Baltimore, Maryland: Genealogical Publishing Co., Inc, 1987.

Should I contact one of the pre-1700 projects or know about any style guidelines before proceeding? Thank you!

Hello Vicki,

The profile is not “Project Protected,” but one needs to be pre-1700 to work on it. Since you are pre-1700 certified, you are able to work on them.

Before working on pre-1700 profiles, I would suggest reading these pages:

Good luck!
