Marguerite Dupuy is known as the mother of migrant Jacques Séguin.  She has been given parents and a dob without sources, the mother is named Marguerite (Demondreville) Collineau de Montaguerre, with a husband for her named Sicot Chicot, none of them based on any valid source (FamilySearch tree with no sources).  France project, care to lend a hand please?

Hi Danielle,

There are no records available for the time frames for the unsourced Peyrat-de-Bellac birth/death dates of Marguerite Dupuis/Dupuy (1615-1695) in the commune Peyrat-de-Bellac records in the online Haute-Vienne departmental archives.

In the Fichier Origine sources for her son Jacques Seguy/Seguin (which you added to her profile), the Dossier PDF contains marriage record clippings for 2 sisters of Jacques. Those entries are located in the commune Peyrat-de-Bellac, 1661-1676, Baptêmes, Mariages, Sépultures records:

Anne Seguy, 11-02-1669: image 61 of 130 (bottom of left page)

Eliette Seguy, 25-01-1672: image 95 of 130 (in bottom half of left page)

Unfortunately, that time frame (1661-1676) appears to be the only time frame prior to 1705 for which some Peyrat-de-Bellac records are available there online.

hi Rick, the alarm bells go off with her parents, Collineau de Montaguerre is under disproven existence, she's a weird item found all over the map in various sites, her purported husband Sicot Chicot is also totally strange, not even the same family name as Marguerite Dupuy.

I have not worked on this person in the Disproven Existence Project, but at the moment she is an exception to the principle that since people who never existed cannot have parents, spouses, or children, they should not be connected to any.  In this case, Collineau is shown married to several dozen spouses, as a result of which it puts WikiTree in the position of making a quite dubious assertion.   In addition, retaining the connections provides quite false information to anyone who is simply trying to produce an ancestral table of their ancestors, and the computer links them to Collineau.

I strongly recommend that Collineau be disconnected from all the spouses, AFTER links are put into all of these spouses in the biographical narrative, and AFTER a parallel note is placed on all the profiles to which she is currently connected.

As a Project Coordinator of the Disproven Existence Project I would be willing to take this on.

All of the people currently connectged to Collineau should also be assessed for whether they should be added to the Disproven Existence Project.

hi Jack, we went through hoops already in regards to all her purported spouses, if I remember correctly we decided to retain them linked to her as a clear demonstration that neither she nor they existed.  Nobody can be connected to them as ancestors since all purported children/grand-children etc have been disconnected with relevant notes on the ''fathers'' ' profiles.
Hi, Danielle -- that's why I posted the note rather than just going ahead and making changes.  I retain the very strong opinion that neither Colineau nor any other person whose non-existence has been affirmed should have any parents, spouses, or childsren, and I am appalled at the appearance of a profile with several dozen spouses.  I'm convinced that the desired effects can be better achieved with links in the biography under Research Notes.  However, I am not the dictator of WikiTree and will defer to others on this matter!

I did, however, find, and post on Colineau's profile the sample paragraphs in English and French that could be added to each of her supposed spouses if desired.
