Hello WikiTreers!
In each WikiTree Challenge we partner with another group in the worldwide genealogy community. Together we research seven degrees of connections for seven starting people chosen by our partner.
Challenge #14 will be another adventure as we swing back around from England to the United States! Our partner is the Indiana Genealogical Society (IGS). Formed in 1989, the Indiana Genealogical Society strives to help preserve and publish materials relating to the people who settled the state. IGS has been at the forefront of efforts to make Indiana’s historical records more accessible to the public by indexing and digitizing records. Members of the Indiana Genealogical Society have access to the growing collection of databases. They currently have 2,317 databases, covering all 92 Indiana counties, and add new databases every month.
Our week will begin Thursday, August 31st, at noon EDT (4pm UTC) and ends September 7th, at noon EDT. You don't need any particular skills to participate, so everyone is welcome to join us.
Discoveries, questions, and bounty claims are posted under the seven starting profiles (comments at the top are hidden once read). We chat in Discord, and are excited to see the encouragement and collaboration there.
How many connections will we make this time?
