Looking for when and where my grandmother Vivian C. (Ely) Veitz, died.

Question

Her name was Vivian Constaline Ely, b. 20 Oct 1894 at Colley, Sullivan, Pennsylvania. She was married to Clarence E. Veitz (Vietz). Her children were: Edward Veitz and Pauline Veitz Dippre. Edward was my father. She was deceased long before I was born and my father never told me what happened to her. I believe she might have died in New York, but a search has not come up with any information. I find her in New York, Erie County, for the 1930 Federal Census. I have also found some funny business regarding her daughter, Pauline, being allowed to marry. They had lied about my grandfather being deceased and Vivian signed the paperwork for Pauline to marry William Dippre. Pauline died in 1933 from TB. I'm wondering if grandma died around that time from TB...where would the records be?

Was she a church goer? I'd look for her in microfilmed church records.

I wish I knew if she were a church goer. I'm not even sure what religion she was. My dad just went along with my mom, who was Lutheran.

Veitz sounds German. She might have been German Lutheran. I MIGHT still have on permanent loan at my local LDS the microfilms of buffalo's German evangelical churches some of which overlapped with or otherwise became Lutheran. Don't know how late they go. My research focus had been pre-1900. My schedule is nuts and not sure when I'll get there but nudge me with a PM then I'll have your email address and we can see what I can find.
