One of my family names is Zölle in German & Zoelle in English. Is it correct to use Zoelle as the original birth name?

If the original record reads Zölle use that as Last Name At Birth, if somebody later changed the name to Zoelle use that for that person as Current Last Name.

So, I should create a family "Zölle".  I don't see names in the list of surnames that use the German umlaut (maybe I didn't look hard enough).  How will that be alphabetized?  As "Zolle"?
If you do a search with an Umlaut in WikiTree you will get the names mixed in with the names without Umlaut: Müllers will be mingled in with Mullers.
But will Müllers be indexed with Muellers?
No, in my experience with letters with diacritical marks WikiTree sorts most of these characters with their respective plain characters as one letter whereas umlaut plus e is recognized as two letters. Müller will find Muller but not Mueller.
