Do you like sharing WikiTree love? Join the Ambassadors Project!

Question

WikiTree Ambassadors are volunteers who have taken on the mission of spreading the WikiTree Love across our social media channels.

WikiTree pledged to stay 100% free, so we need to keep costs low. Since we don't have a big ad budget, our community depends on word of mouth. We grow when our members tell other genealogists, their family and friends what we do.

Ambassadors are some of our awesome volunteers who are active on various social media channels and/or bloggers who are dedicated to helping share the WikiTree love.

If you signed the Honor Code, are active in social media or blogging, and have been a WikiTree member for at least one month, post an "answer" below and we'll get you started in the project!

I want to be a member. I have written about WikiTree on my blog www.theblunderingdnagenealogist.com where I sometimes blunder even with my posts, but hey, that's what the edit page is all about, right? Count me in!

I would like to be a Wikitree Ambassador! After several years on Wikitree and talking to a variety of people about the advantages of a FREE site versus a pay site, especially one based on sourcing, I think it's time to formalize my activities. I participate in several Celtic festivals each year, have a Facebook page and two personal websites, and have a variety of contacts I work with to share information. I will put them to better use as an Ambassador. I promise to also use G2G more than I have. ;-)

Greetings! I am a long time WikiTreer and have just come across the Ambassador Project. I'd like to join. I'm active on social media, and I have a free weekly webinar series about genealogy. I'd love to feature WikiTree on my webinar.

I'd like to help with this though I'm not sure I meet your criteria. The main thing I've been doing is promoting wikitree through my own One-Name Study groups on facebook, local meetings of the Guild of One-Name Studies, and talks that I give to local history groups.

Local to me is the UK, though my facebook groups are worldwide.

Is that the sort of thing you're after?

I've been a member without even knowing it!  I would love to join, it's an extremely worthwhile endeavour.  Have done several sessions on using Wikitree for the Society of Australian Genealogists and promote it regularly both in the society's DNA Research Group and in my own blog!  If only the embeddable tree widgets would work properly in Wordpress!

I have done blogging on WikiTree since last year and I would like to join the Ambassador Project. I started blogging when I started doing 52 ancestor for 52 weeks last year I also like to get the Ambassador Project Badge.

I want to be a member very badly. I spend a lot of time researching my ancestors and want to have others join wiki tree. especially my extensive decendants. I spend a lot of time on social media and would love the opportunity to spread the word.

I would very much like to join the Ambassadors project. I am presently teaching small groups from my local genealogy society how to get started with WikiTree. I plan to have these sessions ongoing for both beginners and for those who have volunteered and need questions answered.
