This is my great grandmother Petra Quiñones! I wish I had the chance to know her. She loved to cook and sing...

I imagine she had a wonderful voice and her parties were the pride of everyone who knew her (and probably even more who knew only her reputation for cooking and singing!).

I know what you mean about wishing you had the chance to know her!  I've felt the same thing.

Gabrielle, thanks for sharing her photo! if you'd like to make her profile open for editing by all, you can do that on the Privacy tab. Is this her? You can keep Petra private and make her parents Open if you'd prefer.

ooh, I should mention that I always remove "y" and just search with "Quiñones Vásquez";when searching on FamilySearch and Ancestry. Otherwise it sometimes shows you everyone who has "y" as part of their last name. :(

Thank you!!
YES! that's her! Those are records I have on Ancestry!
Awesome! Here we like to substitute the records from free sources like FamilySearch when we can. If there's a record source that's only available on Ancestry.com, of course we link to it there.

Do you have time to add those sources and maybe add her parents and grandparents?
I just did!
