Have you registered for the Scan-a-Thon yet? [closed]

Question

In January we will have our first annual 72-hour scanning marathon, to parallel our fun and successful annual Source-a-Thons and Spring Clean-a-Thons.

Our mission: to scan and share all those old family photos and other items we've been meaning to get to!

The party starts Friday morning, January 11, at 8 AM (ET) and runs until Monday, January 14, at 8 AM (ET). (Eastern Standard Time is GMT -5.) We're encouraging genealogists from all over the world to participate at the same time.

Will you join us?

To register, just click the ANSWER button and say "Sign me up!" or whatever and include a few words about your location or genealogical interests.  

If you're already part of a team from a previous challenge and want to stay on it, mention that. Not all teams are available for the Scan-a-Thon so you may not end up on the same one. The current teams are listed here. More may be added.

If you like to work on one and make it as loved and beautiful as possible before moving on, feel free and show that profile all the love you can. We do not care if you wish to work in one specific place or all over the world. One hour or most of the weekend is fine as long as you are not putting yourself or someone else in harms way. Just do it your way and lets all have fun.

I'll join the scan-a-thon and stick with my Team Tornadoes (despite the fact that the vast majority of my scans will be from Wyoming, Oklahoma, Alabama, and Texas. Plus just a few from Wisconsin, Ohio, Kansas, and Pennsylvania.

I'll be part of that.  Team Tornado seems to be my best match.  I just got a bunch of pictures from my mom's cousin, I'm scanning now, but need to assign them to profiles.  Primarily Bean/Broadwell family of Athens County, Ohio and Morton County, North Dakota.

Hi! I would love to participate! I am the "family photo keeper" and have quite a few boxes of ancestor photos that would be great to share. The hard part will be not restoring the photo before uploading it (Another pass-time of mine) because sometimes it can take a long time!

My family is from New Brunswick, Canada, so I'd love to join the Nor'easters team if possible!

I'd like to sign up.  If there's still a spot on Legacy Heirs, I'd like to join that team.  This should be some motivation to wade into the 7 totes of inherited pictures, etc that we got from my husband's grandmother.  Lots of stuff for Harrison County, Indiana.  Might be able to throw in some stuff for Kentucky and West Virginia off my mother's side.
