I have information to contribute to the profile of Mehitable (Standish) Rood. This is what I can add:

  • Connect to father Josiah Standish https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Standish-77 confident
  • Connect to mother Sarah Allen https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Allen-893 uncertain

These are the sources I am using:

  • Robert S. Wakefield, F.A.S.G, editor, Russell L. Warner, compiler, ''Mayflower Families Through Five Generations: Descendants of the Pilgrims who Landed at Plymouth, Mass. December 1629. Volume 14 Family of Myles Standish'' (Plymouth, Massachusetts: General Society of Mayflower Descendants, 1997), pp 16-17, 47-48
  • Brother Eleazer: Connecticut. Probate Court (Hartford District); Probate Place: Hartford, Connecticut. Ancestry.com. Connecticut, Wills and Probate Records, 1609-1999 [database on-line]. Provo, UT, USA: Ancestry.com Operations, Inc., 2015. Original data: Connecticut County, District and Probate Courts. {{Ancestry Image|9049|007627238_00085}}
  • Sister Jehoden: Connecticut State Library (Hartford, Connecticut); Probate Place: Hartford, Connecticut. Ancestry.com. Connecticut, Wills and Probate Records, 1609-1999 [database on-line]. Provo, UT, USA: Ancestry.com Operations, Inc., 2015. Original data: Connecticut County, District and Probate Courts. Jehodean Standish. {{Ancestry Image|9049|007627976_00160}} Names sister Mehitable, deceased, had the following children Rufus Roode, Josiah Standish Roode, Jeremiah Roode, Lydia who last name is unknown, and Eunice the wife of Benjamin Day.

Should I contact one of the pre-1700 projects or know about any style guidelines before proceeding? Thank you!

Tag it with Puritan Great Migration as I am pretty sure that would be the project you need

The profile could fall under Mayflower or Massachusetts.If it were controversial I would suggest Mayflower, but it seems pretty straightforward. What your doing is fine. You are using primary sources and good secondary sources. You're using inline citations.

Seems like you have been doing a good job on this profile so far. The more info you show in the bio, especially for Ancestry or Findmypast pay sites, the better.
