Hi all, here's a summary of what's been happening lately:

  • We lost a dear friend and colleague in Peter Cameron who passed away in September
  • We collectively sourced over 16k profiles in the recent source-a-thon
  • The Windsor Warriors and Amy Utting took home the trophies
  • Gillian Thomas is stepping down as England co-Leader to focus on Australia and the Arborists (thank you for being such calming, wise and beautiful spirit in our midst, Gillian. Good luck with Aus and Arb and we're so glad you are staying with us in the project).
  • Vivienne Caldwell's new title is Project Coordinator for Styles and Standards. She will continue her work doing pre-1500 coaching and help equip us all with what we need to raise the standard of profiles across England.
  • Raewyn Vincent is joining the leadership team as Project Coordinator for the Orphan Trail. More news on some exciting changes there coming soon.
  • Stephen Heathcote has agreed to take on the role of Regional Coordinator for East Midlands. He'll also be staying as TL for his beloved Derbyshire.
  • Becky Troth is stepping up as Team Leader for Shropshire
  • Geoff Rice has kindly accepted the role of Team Leader for the Categories Team

Some of the things we will be working on next:

  • Peter's profiles - more to follow
  • The 5* profiles - plus some exciting changes to the Muppets Team (managed profiles)
  • November check-ins when I will be reaching out to all of you to see how you are, what you are working on, what you are happy with, what you would like to see improved, any ideas you might have and if you want to stay in the project. I'm excited at the prospect of talking to you all one on one!
  • The Fun Club - Fancy being a yellow coat a-la Hi-de-hi? Speak to Fran!

Thank you everyone for being so amazing.

Onwards and upwards!

Susie

How well organized you are...  excellent.

It's nice to see you revere the members/coordinators in your project.  Good to know what each one is doing.

Newsletter concise and well done.  Thanks.

Thank you to Gillian for your leadership of the England Project: glad to hear you're not going away! And thank you too to Sue Boutle for your work in setting up the East Midlands team: again, glad you're staying on in Northamptonshire, and best wishes for your other projects!

Thanks Stephen. I'll still be around so please let me know if you need any help with anything in the team. Wishing you all the best in your new role.
Sue, thank you, you did a wonderful job in setting up the East Midlands and I know you’ll continue to be wonderful in Northamptonshire :-)

Fun time over the weekend, more watching others put up big numbers than adding them myself, although I did find an unexpected stash of Huntingdonshire people.

And I'm impressed, Susie that you recovered enough to put out a newsletter right away!

Thanks for the update Susie,

Never a quiet month in the England Project :-)

So proud to be a part of this project and the Thon and to win it in Peters name.

What amazes me most is the relationships we build in this project. Even in a very emotional month the project evolves and grows as more and more fantastic members take on more and new responsibilities.

The momentum is that great that we already have other new Team Leaders in place since you updated us 6 hours ago.

The December newsletter might be a long one ;-)

Thanks for all you and the other Leaders do, and to Gillian, thank you and I’m glad you’re not leaving us completely :-)
