Claire Bourg was born about 1682 in Port-Royal, Acadie, Nouvelle-France, daughter of Bernard Bourg (about 1648–about 1725) and Françoise Brun (about 1653–1725).[1]

In 1686, at Port Royal, Claire, aged 4, was living with her parents, Bernard BOURC [sic], aged 36, and Francoise BRUN, aged 34, and seven siblings: Marie [recte Marie Claire], aged 15, Marguerite, aged 13, Rene, aged 9, Anne, aged 8, Jeanne, aged 6, Francoise, aged 3, and Abraham, aged 1. They owned 1 gun and were living on 3 arpents of cultivable land with 4 cattle, 6 sheep and 6 hogs.[1]

Claire (16) and Joseph Dugas (18) were married in 1699 in Port-Royal. Joseph was born in 1680 in Port-Royal. Two sisters named Claire, married two Dugas brothers: Francois and Joseph Dugas.

Their children were:

  2. Marguerite Dugas (about 1703–about 1758)
  3. Marie Josèphe Dugas (1703–about 1747)
  4. Marie Claire Dugas (about 1706–1759)

  8. Marie Françoise Dugas (about 1714–about 1753)

  10. Jean Baptiste Dugas (about 1719–1788)
  11. Élisabeth Dugas (about 1719–1807)
  12. Charles Dugas (about 1724–before 1788)

Claire died about 1727 in Annapolis Royal, Acadie, Colony of Nova Scotia, aged 44.
