According to the History of the families Millingas and Millanges[1], Edward Milliken was born "in Scarbro. Mar. 5, 1733-4. . . . He lived on the homestead farm in his native town, where he remained until about 1805, when he removed to Buxton and lived with his son Nathaniel until his death, about 1812. He was buried in an old graveyard on the fence line which now divides the farms of Henry Hill and Henry Hews."
When Edward Milliken was born, his father, Edward Milliken, was 27 and his mother, Abigail Norman, was 23. He married Elizabeth Harmon on 23 May 1754, in Scarborough, Cumberland, Maine, United States. They were the parents of at least 3 sons and 8 daughters. He registered for military service in 1775. He died on 18 November 1813, in York, Massachusetts, United States, at the age of 79, and was buried in Milliken Cemetery, York, Maine, United States.
Grantee of Trenton, Maine in 1763, moved to Buxton around 1805.[2]

Lt. Benjamin Milliken was taken prisoner during the American Revolutionary War and held captive by Col. John Allan.
Burial
He is buried in the Milliken Cemetery in Buxton Maine.[4][5]
