Nathaniel was a son of John Willis and his wife Elizabeth, born (apparently) in Duxbury, in the Plymouth Colony.
According to Mitchell, Nathaniel (son of John and Elizabeth) and his wife Lydia had Nathaniel, Jonathan, John, Ebenezer, Sarah (married John Hayward in 1707), and Mary (possibly the Mary who married William Gilmore in 1731).[1]
Died on 29 November 1716 in Bridgewater, Massachusetts. [2][3]
Buried in Bridgewater.
His real estate inventory records his death as 29 November 1716 and it was appraised on 20 December 1728. His moveable inventory was taken on "the first day of January following".[4]
His estate was divided by a distribution agreement signed by his heirs, viz., his widow, Lidia Willis, Nathaniel Willis, Jonathan Willis, John Willis, Ebenezer Willis, Sarah Hayward, and Mary Willis, in 1729.[1][5]

Nathaniel Willis Sen'r above named dec'd Nov'm 28th 1716
The profile formerly said that Nathaniel and Lydia married on 16 Jan 1639 in Bridgewater. Maybe that is some other Nathanial and Lydia, but it is too early for this man. Smith-62120 05:07, 11 January 2022 (UTC)

Willis-888 and Willis-631 appear to represent the same person because: Same parents, same wife, same death. Only discrepancy is the year of birth, and neither profile cites a source for that (both look like guesses).
You are right, Randy. It's all screwed up! I'll see if I can unsnarl it. It may take a bit of time! I found your page with the family narrative on it. That may be helpful. You are welcome to help edit if you have the information.
Richard, you need to change Nathaniel's birthdate. You have him born in 1678, but you have him being married in 1639. And you have his first child born in 1644. That's 34 years before Nathaniel was born.
Minor correction to one statement in my earlier comment: The History of Bridgewater by Nahum Mitchell gives the children of Nathaniel Willis and Lydia Unknown as Nathaniel, Jonathan, John, Ebenezer, Sarah, and Mary. They may also have had children with the other names linked to this profile, but I've not seen them in sources.
There is some serious confusion on this profile Willis-888. A man who was born in 1678 could not possibly have been married in 1639.
The Nathaniel Willis who was the son of John and Elizabeth (married ca. 1637) was presumably born ca. 1640-1650 -- see Willis-631. He married Lydia Unknown, but not in 1639, and they had the children linked on this profile.
It looks like this man's birthdate got confused with the birthdate for his son Nathaniel.
I propose changing the dates for this man's birth and marriage (as discussed above), then merging this profile with Willis-631 and merging the two profiles for Lydia Unknown: UNKNOWN-109655 and Unknown-274135.
