Biography

Elizabeth Bowne was born on 8 October 1658 (8 8m 1658) in Flushing, New Netherland. She was the daughter of John Bowne and Hannah Feake.

In 1678, John Prior and Elizabeth Bowne requested clearance to marry from the Flushing Friends Meeting: "We have the first notice of a committee of inquiry in relation to their clearance from other marriage engagements, and the committee consisted of Ann Hobbs, Elizabeth Adams, Mary Willets and Mary Andrews." ^[1]

Elizabeth married John Prior on 2 November 1678 at Flushing. They had eight children.

Elizabeth married Samuel Titus after 1704. It was both his and her second marriage. They had no children.
