Abraham was a son of Jacob Vosburgh and Dorothea Janse (Van Aalsteyn). Innes Getty listed him as their second child and estimated his birthdate as about 1682,[1] but because he was given his paternal grandfather's name of "Abraham," it is likely that he was his parents' first son, born earlier than his brother Jan.
Profile Vosburgh-51 gave his birthplace as Athens, Greene, New York, but these place names did not exist in the 1680s and it is unclear why he was thought to be from that geographic location.

It looks like there's an error in the dates on this profile (born 1980, died 1727). Should the birthdate be 1680? (That's my guess based on the other family members.)
