He had 1.5 linear arpents (300 arpents=100 hectares=252 acres), had been in residence 3 years, had harvested 13 barrels of rice and corn, and owned 1 pig.[1]

On January 1, 1726, at the village of des Allemands, a "Jean Rollin" and his wife were enumerated. It isn't certain that this is the same man.[2]

I think I understand what you're getting at. The "correction" is still going to trigger a suggestion because it still differs from what is on FAG. Here is what I would do. I would edit the date per the source cited. If I'm in the mood, I would notify the FAG memorial manager, (but I often skip this). Next I would mark the suggestion as "False Error" and choose the comment that says, WT's date is sourced; FAG isn't. I often use this when I see a name spelling flag. I might note that the name has a better spelling and change it, but, I know it's still going to trigger an error. Mark it false error and move on.... My 2 cents. PS, this actually seems to work...

Yes, my original post was meant to convey that course of action to the profile managers so that I could move on with correcting the top-level category errors. What with all the back and forth I went ahead and contacted F/G. Now IF F/G corrects, the error will be triggered. I'm not a manager so wasn't going to change the data and trigger the error myself, and I won't necessarily be doing follow-up on the error if/when F/G triggers it.

Find A Grave says she died on May 7, 1791, while the church record, cited here, says she was buried on March 7, 1791. IF the data is changed to precisely state the DOD (likely March 6, 1791) it will result in a data base error for the differing date with F/G, (which would best be marked 'False Suggestion.') For the time being, the DOD in the data was not changed, but its status button was changed to 'Before.' (You might also want to send the death record info to F/G.)

My opinion on DOD would be to use "about" rather than "before" the burial date. Sometimes they were buried on the same day they died. There's no way to know for sure, so "about" seems the more accurate term to use.
Normally I'd agree. But that's not what this is. F/G is wrong and unsourced, without even a stone, and the data on this profile came from F/G, so wrong, too. But we do have the record, cited in the biography. The church record says buried 7 Mar 1791. F/G and this profile's data field says died 7 May 1791-- died 2 months after she was recorded buried. I didn't change the data, to avoid the DBE, but it does need to be changed, ans so does F/G. As it is now, with 'before 7 May' is more accurate.

OK thanks, now I get it. My comment actually applied to the March date, not the May date.
Stieger-69 and Steiger-63 appear to represent the same person because: Appears to be a duplicate, slight difference in spelling on last name. Same dates of birth and death.
