My name is Mr. Tom Halderman, not to be confused with the Mrs. Karen Halderman teaching in 4th grade – yes, my better half. I have been teaching in the district and Luiseno since 2005 – first as a substitute, then a 1-2 combination class teacher, a 2nd grade teacher, 4th grade teacher, and now a middle school science teacher. I have a B.S. in Exploration Geophysics from U.C. Riverside and an M.S. in Geophysics and Space Physics from U.C. Los Angeles. I then received an SB 2042 Professional Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from Chapman University in Orange, California. Along with the multiple subject teaching credential, I was granted supplemental credentials to teach physics through 12th grade and introductory math and science through 9th grade. I was a scientific programmer for 20 years before becoming a teacher. I have been a resident of Horsethief Canyon since 1990 and my son and two daughters have all attended Luiseno. I look forward to being a part of my students' future success. Please visit my 7th or 8th grade science classrooms (shown below) for detailed information about how I run my classes. 6th grade is also shown below, but I no longer teach it. The 6th grade resources may still be helpful for some students who are in 6th grade

One of our mentors created a tutorial for the GEDCOMpare process that others found very helpful. I hope that you will too.
