Hi Julian, I thought that a good while ago I was a member of the Little ONS but I don't get any emails or WT posts about all of the tremendous progress being made. Would you please check to see if I'm a member and if not, please add me. Thanks so much!

Hi Julian,

I haven’t heard back from you about the break up of the United Kingdom Project. I hope all is well with you. I assume you don’t wish to join any of the country-level projects at present, and will go ahead and remove the United Kingdom badge. If you wish to join England, Scotland, Wales or Ireland in the future, you would be most welcome to do so via the respective G2G sign-up post.

Many thanks for all your contributions,

Susie :-)

Hi Julian,

We realise the time has come to dissolve the UK Project in favour of the individual country projects of England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland.

We are checking in with all UK badge holders to find out which country project(s) you would like to be in so you can collaborate with other members, have the opportunity to select which team(s) you would like to join, and so we can ensure you have all the correct badges.

Please respond by PM to let us know which country project(s) you would like to be in. Please don’t assume we know. We are effectively starting from scratch to make sure no one falls through the cracks.

Once you have done this, the Coordinator for Membership in the relevant country project(s) will be in touch to help get you situated.

Many thanks,

Susie

Thank you for the invite, sign me up. I'm on the ftdna version of this and my Y haplogroup is J-M172 kit#B429560. Ancestry.com dna and GEDmatch kit#A447125. Anything else you need? My grandfather John Robert Little claimed he was from Calif. never been verified, never found his family for sure. I suspect he's from Nebraska, b.~1896.

Thank you for the invite to help with the Little Study. But how can I help? I do not understand this DNA stuff at all. My own records are in shambles! LOL. My Little line, as far as I can tell, is not blood-related past the Civil War. And that line is basically limited to the Overton Co. TN and bordering Ky. And, Wiki Tree is just now becoming a little bit clear to me (it's workings and platform). I've publically shared my DNA. What would be helpful? Thank you all for your wonderful WikiTree work and contributions! Let me know what you want me to do and I will try! - Jeri Little Garner

Hi Julian I will be glad to help if I can but it is quite a small tree I have as my GG Parents were Irish and I can't get back any further. I am hoping to do a dna test once I find out more about and understand it Regards Elaine
Thank you Julian!

Hi Julian,

I’m Susie the new leader of the England Project. We are contacting all existing members of the project to find out how you are currently involved, and how you would like to be involved moving forward. Please have a look at the England Project page for more information, and then contact either myself or Gillian to let us know what you’d like to do, or if you have any questions. We can then list your interests, help you join the team in the Google group forum for England, and give you any help you might need to get going. If we don’t hear back from you we’ll assume you no longer want to be a part of the England Project at this time.

Many thanks and I look forward to hearing from you,

Susie :-)

Hello Julian. The only Little I know anything about is Estella and that was a purely accidental find. Most of her family didn't even know that Little was her birth surname. She was probably an illegitimate birth and the husband of her mother raised her as one of his own. Estella is not a direct family member of mine. She is the aunt of my first husband and the person I knew in her family was her 1/2 sister, Trudy.

I'll certainly get started with the Little Name Study sometime soon. I tend to do most of my Ancestry research during the long winter nights, not much in the summer. Most of my relatives are from the Cumberland area.
