Pierre Valentin Pothier was the son of Cyrille Pothier and Rosalie Bourque.[1]
He was born January 11, 1824 in Belleville, Nova Scotia.
He was a farmer by trade residing in Eel Lake, Nova Scotia (Belleville).[2]
He married Marie Anne Amirault, the daughter of Gabriel Amirault and Genevieve Melansonin November of 1856 at Ste. Anne's in Eel Brook, Nova Scotia.[2]
The couple had at least 7 children:
Pierre Valentin died on December 9, 1888 and was buried at Sainte-Anne Parish Cemetery on December 14, 1888. He was listed as being 67 years old at his death.[9]
