Hi Sharon,

In September, every profile you created was a duplicate, and without sources. Please be sure not to create duplicates, and pay attention to suggestions for duplicates; you rejected several that were actually the same person. On WikiTree we want only one profile per person. Please also be sure to add sources; Ancestry is not a valid source. Vital records found on Ancestry should be referenced in the profile, but not just Ancestry.com

Thanks for adding profiles to WikiTree. There are reasons behind the eighth point in our Honor Code: "We cite sources. Without sources we can't objectively resolve conflicting information." A source provides a way to find out more about the person. Showing sources reduces confusion and duplicates.

Here is what our Sources help page says. It has lots of ideas: http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Sources The Sources Style Guide shows how to enter sources in the biography.

Please pay special attention to duplicates, as you have created a number of them.

Hi Sharon,

Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!

Because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, coordinating with others is essential. You can learn more about joining the community in How To #3 and in the Project FAQ.

Based on your tags the Military and War Project may fit your research focus. If not, use the Pre-1700 Projects list to review other possibilities. Read the goals and tasks of the projects and join those which are a good fit.

Have questions? Ask in the comments section of my profile.
