Re: Your Browns, mine also came through Canada, but I didn't see any stop in Michigan. I would recommend DNA if you haven't taken a test yet. Browns are hard. I have been brick-walled with mine for years. Even finding descendants has been difficult. Feel free to add to the Brown Name Study space page with notes if, if you like. I can't spend nearly as much time on it as I would hope, but I feel like at least having it there might bring attention from someone else looking for the same lines.
Thanks for the query and good luck!
Abby
Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!
Because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, coordinating with others is essential. You can learn more about joining the community in How To #3 and in the Project FAQ.
Based on your tags the Connecticut Project may fit your research focus. If not, use the Pre-1700 Projects list to review other possibilities. Read the goals and tasks of the projects and join those which are a good fit.
Have questions? Ask in the comments section of my profile.

You've been a member of WikiTree for about a week now so I thought I would check in to see how it's going. Have the How-Tos been helpful or left you with questions?
I want to help! Click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page or send me a private message. Sometimes links don't work in emails. If that's happened to you, check the public comments on your profile. The links will work from there.

PS Good work so far! Have you noticed on your ancestor profiles on bottom right is "Research" where you can get sources and more information? Give it a try!
You are now a full member and can add your family to the big tree! Start with our New Member How-To pages. These saved my sanity by finding the tools in the WikiTree toolbox to ease the process.
I have been on WikiTree since 2014 and am totally addicted! It is so exciting to go cousin collecting and find ones you did not know existed! Above all, WikiTree is a very vital community because each person here has the same goal.
We are so happy to have you here in the WikiTree community. Please ask me questions as I'm always happy to help!
