Biography
Jeanette O'Hagan was born in Mt Isa, Queensland and grew up partly in Mt Isa, partly in Zambia Africa, and partly in Victoria.
She studied medicine at University of Queensland and worked as at Royal Brisbane Hospital, Mt Isa Base Hospital, the Inala Community Centre, QEII Hospital and then as a General Practitioner for another eight years.
She gained a Bachelor of Arts at UQ and a Bachelor of Theology at BCQ (through ACT). She was Dean of Students and a lecturer in Ethics and World Religions at BCQ and a part-time lecturer at Nazarene Theological College of Brisbane.
In 2011 she rekindled her love for writing. She completed a Master of Arts (Writing) and has had dozens of stories and poems published along with seven (sole-authored) books with stories set in her imaginary world of Nardva.
She married Tony O'Hagan and they have two children and two cats.
Jeanette has been fascinated with family history since, when a young girl, she was shown a hand-drawn family tree for her paternal grandfather, John Wilson Curtis, that stretched back to the mid-17th century and heard stories about her Irish grandfather and her South African grandmother. In her twenties, she researched her mother's family finding five generations in Australia. Her interest in family history has never died, but she caught the bug again in May last year when her cousin, David Curtis, showed even earlier generations of the Irish family and she realised what a wealth of information is available online.

Glad you found the material interesting. I'm connected to Joseph Stuart Allan by marriage through the Langley family (orginially from Tipperary Ireland) - Joseph's daughter married Frederick Langly, the great-gandnephew of my great-great-grandfather's first wife.
I've connected up the two brothers via their father Alexander Sutherland Allan.
