Thank you for posting the information about Gasparus and family Schurman in the Netherlands.

My Schurman ancestors have been in North America since about 1635; but Gasparus would have been the same “generation” as William Schurman. “William Schurman, Loyalist of Bedeque” editor Ross Graves, published 1973 by the M.F. Schurman Company, Summerside, Prince Edward Island, Canada. https://www.google.com/search?tbm=bks&q=William+Schurman%2C+Loyalist

Hi Marjorie, you are welcome. I stumbled across these people because I am interested in the "van Andel" family and a "Govert van Andel" from Dordrecht married to a "Digna Elizabetha Schurman" from Den Haag. I have no idea if they are related to your line, but in theory they could be.

See https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Van_Andel-494 and https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Schurman-275

Hoi Jos

Thanks for helping me with Breddels. Later I go on with creating profiles for their children, brothers and sisters. Also with the van Anrooij family I will go on in about 2 weeks. They re all seems to be from Gelderland. Bommelse Bomen!!! I make profiles of every van Anrooij I can find :). I wonder: How can I get Dutch stickers for Dutch profiles?

See you around Greetings Richard.

Hi Richard,

nice to hear that you are planning to work on the Breddels family. My wife is a direct descendant from one of them. Louisa Breddels (1872-1947) is her great-great-grand mother. For Dutch stickers you could use the simplest one: { {Netherlands Sticker} }. But for more elaborate stickers you can find a lot of information on the Project: Netherlands page: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Project:Netherlands#Stickers.2C_Onderhoudscategorie.C3.ABn_.26_Onderzoeknotities Groetjes, Jos

It's time for the One Place Studies Project Check-In!

We've put together a survey for you to fill out to check in with you, it will only take a moment as there are only a few questions. Filling out the survey lets us know you are still interested in coordinating your study and provides an opportunity for you to share any suggestions you may have for the project.

If you have decided to step away from your study, please reply to this comment to that effect.

It has been my pleasure to do so. Especially since I have an interest to improve the profiles in Zaltbommel (where I live) and the surrounding villages.

Hi Jos,

Thank you for your contribution to the Van Delf family. That inspired me to do more research.

What is good to see is that during the reign of the Republic, Catholics had to marry twice. Since the Marriage Regulations (18 March 1656) everyone was obliged to register his or her marriage for a clergyman of the NG or the drossaard. What many Catholics did next was also marry for their own church. You made that very clear with the double marriages, once for NG and once for RK. Except for the first marriage, we only have one variant? But what strikes me is that the marriages for RK were also within the borders of State Brabant? Was that possible? I thought this always happened just over the border?

I have included inof about the “Echtreglement” in the biography of Johannes Berentse van Delft (1669-1727) and also of Arnoldus Janssen van Delft (1690-).

Thank you very much for your contribution,

Richard Goossens Lienden, Netherlands

Hi Jos!

I recently connected Sharon den Adel to Wikitree and it looks like you and she are 5th cousins.

https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Den_Adel-12

Just wanted to stop by and say hello. : )

Sincerely, Jayme

Hi Jayme, thanks for your message! And thanks for working on the Den Adel family, I much appreciate that.

Are you by any chance related to them as well, or did you work on a different project when you added this line?
