Hi Greg,

Thanks for creating pre-1700 profiles like Jurgen Christoph Berger (abt.1680-).

Our community standard is that all pre-1700 profiles require at least one reliable source be cited in order to proceed with creation. (Please see Help citing pre-1700 profiles.) In the case of the profile above, you indicated "Family Search" as the only source, which as described is not sufficient. A reliable source provides sufficient information for another researcher to find and confirm your research, so "Family Search" is an insufficient description to permit another to replicate your research. Please elaborate on exactly what family record you are relying upon and hopefully, with that description, and link to the record if possible, it can be seen to be reliable.

Thanks

Gisèle

Hi Greg, I love that you have been doing research on Grandma Ella, but Aunt Bonnie let me have her DNA tested and I hate to tell you but she has no American Indian at all. I had always heard the stories too that is why I did the test. Uncle Russell refused to take the DNA test as he said he did not want to know. If you would like, I can email her results. Thanks for sharing the story about grandpa.

Hello Greg,

Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles! It’s very important to read and understand https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Pre-1700_Profiles. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines laid out on that page.

Hi,

To be able to add more names you will need to volunteer, you can do this from your Navigation page. Just add tags showing your genealogical interests e.g. surnames you are researching, and in the comments box by them add the location/relationship to you, then click on the green box that says "Save tags and volunteer." There is a visual aid to tags here if you need help with those.

Volunteering means you will help us achieve our goal of joining all individual family trees into one global family tree.

I hope this helps! If you have any problems, let me know.

Take care
