Hi Sara,

Thank you for adding your DNA to WikiTree. Getting the Best from DNA will tell you more about how DNA kits are used on WikiTree.

I hope this helps! If you have any questions or problems, let me know.

Take care

Hilary ~ WikiTree Greeter

Hi Sara

As you have been a member of WikiTree for a few weeks now, I thought I would check in to see how you are getting on with the site.

Has the New Member How-To been helpful, or left you with any questions?

I am here to help with any problems or queries you may have. To contact me, be sure to use the "reply" link below this comment so that I will be notified. You can also click my name to send a private message, or post a comment, on my profile page.

Sometimes links don't work in emails.  If that's happened to you, check the public comments on your profile. The links will work from there.

If you need help finding sources, let me know. I can usually find something on FamilySearch.org.

You might take a look at some of our projects, such as https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Project:United_States. Sometimes they will have useful resources they can direct you to.

Take care Wendy ~ WikiTree Greeter

Thank you for signing the Honor Code, Sara!

As you go along, you may want to edit your tags to show the regions where you are researching surnames. For each surname, add the location in the comment. You may also want to add a tag for the important regions you are researching.

The clickable tags we follow and the comments we make about them at WikiTree help us collaborate with other members. Click the green tags on your top right of your profile page and see others following the same things you are researching. The more tags you add (20 max.) that include surnames, locations, periods of history or other genealogical interests, the more links to community research options you will have. This link may help you learn more about tags. Everyone does this a little differently but you can have a look at the tags on my profile to get an idea. Hope that helps!

If you have any questions about how WikiTree works, let me know by using the "reply" link under my comment, or by clicking my name to visit my profile. From there, you can leave a comment, or send a private message.

P.S. If links do not work in an email from WikiTree, try them from the comment section on your profile page.

In order to get a speedier reply, be sure to use the reply link below the comment. That way the person will be notified that you have posted a reply.

Greetings Sara!

I am happy to congratulate you for becoming a member of the WikiTree community! To help save you time, energy and frustration, please start with our New Member How-To pages.

Click the green Tag on your top right of your profile page and see others following the same things you are researching. The more Tags (20 is the maximum) you add that include locations, periods of history or other genealogical interests, the more links to the community research options.

Welcome to the WikiTree family! Please ask if you have any questions as I am always happy to help.

Cindy ~ WikiTree Greeter
