I want to find out about my paternal great grandparents, Timothy Stanley and Laura Ann Brooks from Exeter, Barry county, Missouri. He was a Quaker, born in Ohio in 1813. He was married twice; Elizabeth Coburn was his first wife. After she died, he married Laura Ann Brooks. She died in 1895 in Exeter, Missouri. He moved to nearby Thomas Hollow and had died by 1899. I found a Missouri land grant for Timothy, Timothy and Laura Ann's marriage license, and a document for when they sold some of their Missouri land. I can't find their death certificates or burial records. I also can't find their son's, my grandfather's (Clyde LeGrand Stanley born in May 1888), birth certificate. Their names are listed on my grandfather's and his brother's death certificates and a sister's SS application.

Hi Laurie, welcome to Wikitree! I see that you're a Stanley; there's a Stanley Name Study if you'd like to join. If you click on "Categories" on that page, it will bring you down to the bottom and then click on '"Stanley Name Study"' and it will display all of the Stanley profiles that are a part of the study. And yes there are even Stanley profiles listed in Missouri. Let me know if you have any questions/comments.
