My paternal grandmother was a Rozzelle. I have proven back to my 4th great Grandfather Richard Rozzell. He was the 1st ancestor of this family that traveled south into NC, I believe there were three earlier generations that arrived in NY mid 1650’s from England, I located bits and pieces in Westchester Co. NY. I can provide more if you are interested, thanks
I received a WIKITree EMAIL this morning that included the edit you made for Philippe Boucher. Thanks for that since he is distantly related to my family.
I always check to see if I have connections to the profile creator or the person who updated the profile too, and it's interesting that there are connections to both of your paternal grandparents and your maternal grandfather, and a more distant connection to your maternal grandmother.
I haven't proofed these yet of course, but it's a pretty amazing find. I'm fairly used to finding that I am connected to both husband and wife, and sometimes for multiple generations, but I think this is the first time I've found connections with all four grandparents, and more so since it's a relatively recent generation.
Hello cousin! Very neat discovery, and thank you for the comment.
I'm finding that WikiTree is indeed amazing, especially the ability to quickly find connections to others. I have found some connections with upwards of 300 common ancestors. I've also found out recently that I was distantly related to a coworker, as well as three separate friends. Our branches split 300-400 years ago in other countries, but somehow we're back together as friends!
