At Wikitree, we try whenever possible to confirm anything in a published genealogy with original sources. However, your question is not something that I have actually given a great deal of thought to as proving descent from royalty has not been an interest of mine. I would suggest that you pose your question in our G2G forums and you may end up with a lively discussion.
