My ancestors who came to Australia were exclusively from the United Kingdom where I have numerous 'DNA cousins'. I also have confirmed DNA cousins in Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the USA. My Scottish ancestors came from the Trotternish district on the Isle of Skye (McKinnon, Cameron) and Caithness (Shearer, Dunnet). English ancestors came from Somerset (Star, Coates ) and Alderbury (Prewett) and (Suffolk) Brown. Irish 2x great grandparents were Bennett and Bolton, probably from around Limerick (my brick-walls).
