A great place to help you with this might be the G2G chat forum], its full of friendly, helpful and knowledgeable people. The best way to get the best responses would be to create a profile for William and fill the biography with everything that you know, also the things that you don't know and where you've looked for records and found none. Add things like theories and family stories, these can all be tremendously helpful (preferably under a heading called "Research Notes"). When you post the question in G2G paste the full URL of your ancestors profile into the extra box provided so that your message will have his profile attached, this way other researchers will be able to click straight to his profile and will see everything that you have written in his biography. When posting your question you will find another box for tags, these are great in that they will notify others who are following those tags. Great tags would be things like the surname, location or historical event such as "Anglo_Boer_War" or "Great_Pilgram_Migration" etc.
Also, we have this handy tool called "Rootssearch". I use it all the time and it helps me remember different places to check. To give it a try, go to the Family Tree & Tools tab; select Genealogy Research, scroll down near the bottom of that list, and select Research with RootsSearch (use your WikiTree email & password). There are over 20 websites to access from there. You can read more about the tool in the RootSearch FAQ. You can also find the tool at the very bottom of the right hand column under the heading "Research" on the profiles of your open ancestors.
I hope this helps, and I wish you all the best luck in your quest 🍀
There are also some great projects here, perhaps have a look at the Ireland Project page, they have links to some handy resources and also can give you suggestions on where to look next. To find projects hover your mouse over the little menu bar at the very top right of your screen over the word "Find", lower your mouse down the dropdown list that appears and click on "projects". When you find a project that you'd like to learn more about click on its clickable heading and you will be taken to the projects page where you can read all about it.

I'm hoping that record is the actual birth record of my grandfather.
Will definitely look into G2G.

I updated the tree with my parents and my grandparents.
Hopefully, this helps and I didn't mess anything up. I tried to merge two entries into one but I think it was rejected.
Cheers.
