Biography

Trijntie was baptized in the Reformed Dutch Church of New Amsterdam, New Netherland, on 16 August 1654, recorded as the child of Hendrick Janszen. Witnesses were Jan Corneliszen Buijs, Gysbert Lubbertszen, Aeltje Schrijvers.^[1]

She was born in Bergen in New Netherland.

She is one of the three children of Tryntien Lubbers[en], deceased, named in the ante-nuptial agreement that Hendrick Jansen Oosteroem, widower of Tryntien Lubbers, executed on 11 June 1666 before his marriage to Gretien Jacobsen. Jan Aersen Vanderbylt and Gerret Lubbersen were named as guardians for the children.^[2]
