You got the current last name changed for John Francis Cook and Joel Calvin Cook but changing the official LNAB is more complicated (confusing, I know!) On the edit tab, there is a section called Last Name at Birth (it's between Middle Name and Current Last Name boxes). Instead of a box, it says the name and has "edit" next to it in small letters. You have to click on "edit" and then correct the name (you can just put "typo" for explanation). Until you do this, the profile will say that the person's "former name" is "Cook I," which isn't right. Thank you!! :) -Sarah

Hi Wanda,

Could you change the Last Name At Birth for John Francis Cook and Joel Calvin Cook so that it is the correct last name "Cook"? Right now it is showing their last name as "Cook I," instead of the "I" being in suffix. Thanks! :) -Sarah

RE: Gedcom upload. I suggest that you do a small upload of about 20 individuals to see how the gedcom upload works. You will have to skip anyone that already has a profile on the WikiTree, and you will have to clean up/edit each profile that you import for readability and appearance. You might want to set your Privacy to Private with Public Family Tree. The WikiTree programming needs to see your Family Tree tab to make DNA and other cousin connections for you.
