Hi Dave

https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Unknown-366957

Mary's maiden name was Coleman, as per the sources on her profile

Could you please amend her Last Name at Birth or add me to her Trusted List so I can make the change myself.

Thanks Steve

Hi Dave I understand from Nae that you have a gedcom problem. As well as the link she has given you you should look at http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Splitting_a_GEDCOM

9000 profile is a lot to manage, wikitree is not a site to dump gedcoms and leave them, you will need to check for duplicates before importing, edit all of them after import, and collaborate with other users who may need to join their branches to yours. Initially I would suggest you take a small gedcom including yourself and say 3 generations of ancestors from your tree, contact me if the link above does not cover your software. Import into wikitree so you see how our system works. After those profiles have been tidied you can import the line from one of your ancestors at a time, 8 separate imports

In the meantime, please review the following:

I am going to have some one get in touch with you directly. I am NOT a gedcom expert, but I do know that our system will want you to break it into smaller chunks...one way I have seen that done is by taking separate family lines or branches. But let me get you an expert! Nae
