Thanks for your support Nancy, much appreciated. You never know we might be related! Still working on it, connecting those Smith's across the pond isn't easy!!

Veronica

Thank you! It can be grueling sometimes.. I'd been waiting on that "second wind" to hit me so I could really start updating the Smith's information. It appears to have happened :)

Congratulations, you have now been a WikiTree member for over a month! Here are some further ideas to help you make the most of our site.

Beyond The Basics of WikiTree is a guide to some more advanced features of WikiTree.

Hi!

I'm Eowyn, a WikiTree Mentor and Team Member. Our primary vision is to build a collaborative tree with just one profile per person. The farther back in your tree, the more likely you will find duplicate profiles to link into, so it's a good idea to do a search before you create a new profile. Try to add an estimated date and place of birth, at the very least, a country, for each person. This helps in searches. Last but not least, try to source each profile as you go.

We also have a naming standard here.

Feel free to check out How To Use WikiTree. It's a great step-by-step guide to get you started.

Do you have any questions I can help with?

Thank you, Sue, for volunteering to help grow our worldwide family tree. The more ancestors you add, the more likely cousins will be able to find you and expand your branches through collaboration.

Our Honor Code, G2G message forum, help pages, search features, and many other useful links can be accessed from the menus on the upper right corner of most pages.

VERY IMPORTANT: The more documents, sources, dates, and locations you provide on the profiles you create, the stronger your branches and our mutual global tree will be. If you don't know the correct date, please estimate using before or after. More tips are on my profile page if interested. :)

Thank you for helping in our mission to build a global tree with only one profile per person.

Hope you enjoy WikiTree!

Hi my name is Sue and I have been doing Genealogy for about 4 or 5 years and I have learned a lot just by trial and error. I love doing the research by going to the Genealogy Center here where I live.

It really made my day when I found my ggggrandfather in a book.He was born in Virginia and that is why I started actively doing the research. I love doing it. Now I try to do it at least 4 or 5 days a week and I realized that even if you know there name you don't know exactly how it is reported in the census. So it is an ongoing research that you just fall in love with. You think you only have your mother and your father but then there are 4 more people to research then 8 more and so on. But I hope to do this full time in the next couple of months, but I know I have a long way to go.
